1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 lemon

Zest of 1 lemon

1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Prepare the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

    Season the Asparagus: In a large bowl, drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
