Preheating your oven is a crucial step in ensuring that your Mini Chicken Bacon Ranch Melts achieve the optimal cooking results. By preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C), you allow for even cooking and browning. When the oven reaches the desired temperature, the heat will immediately start to cook the ingredients, sealing in flavors and creating that perfect golden crust. This step is essential for achieving that delightful melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes these sliders so irresistible.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup cooked bacon, chopped

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)

1 package of mini slider rolls or pita pockets

2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and chives (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are uniformly coated with ranch dressing.

Prepare Slider Rolls: If using slider rolls, slice them in half horizontally. If using pita pockets, cut them in half to create openings. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Fill the Rolls: Spoon generous portions of the chicken bacon ranch mixture onto each slider roll or into each pita pocket. Be sure not to overfill to avoid spillage.

Top and Bake: Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the filling. Brush the tops with olive oil or melted butter to encourage golden browning while baking.

Bake: Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the tops are golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven, and let them cool for a minute. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy them warm!
