Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup mini chocolate chips

12 Oreo cookies, crushed

12 ounces milk chocolate (or dark chocolate), for dipping

Additional crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Flour: To ensure the flour is safe to eat, spread it out on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes. Allow it to cool completely before using.

Make the Cookie Dough: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Add Vanilla and Mix: Stir in the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until well combined.

Incorporate the Flour: Gradually add the heat-treated flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. The dough should come together nicely.

Add Chocolate Chips and Oreos: Fold in the mini chocolate chips and crushed Oreos, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Form the Cookie Dough Cups: Line a cupcake or muffin pan with cupcake liners. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of cookie dough into each liner, pressing down slightly to create a compact cup shape. Reserve any leftover dough to nibble on later!

Chill the Cookie Dough Cups: Place the muffin pan in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set the dough.

Melt the Chocolate: While the cookie dough sets, melt the milk or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second increments until smooth and fully melted. Stir well between each interval.

Coat the Cookie Dough Cups: Once the cookie dough has set, carefully remove it from the muffin pan, keeping the liners on. Dip each cup into the melted chocolate, covering the tops and sides. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Decorate (optional): If desired, sprinkle additional crushed Oreos on top of the chocolate coating for an extra crunch and aesthetic appeal.

Set the Chocolate: Place the dipped cups back in the fridge or freezer for about 10-15 minutes, until the chocolate is fully set.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate has hardened, your Oreo Cookie Dough Cups are ready to be served! Enjoy as a delicious treat at parties or as a sweet snack for yourself!
