Ingredients

20 cherry tomatoes

20 fresh basil leaves

20 mozzarella balls (bocconcini, about 1 inch each)

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

20 wooden or metal skewers (6-inch size is ideal)

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients: Rinse the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cool water. Pat dry with a clean towel. If the mozzarella balls are packed in liquid, drain and pat them dry with paper towels.

Assemble the skewers: On each skewer, thread one cherry tomato, followed by a basil leaf (fold it if needed), and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat this pattern until the skewer is filled (about 3 sets per skewer).

Season the skewers: Arrange the assembled skewers on a serving platter. Drizzle the skewers with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.

Add salt and pepper: Sprinkle each skewer lightly with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to enhance the flavors.

Serve: These skewers can be served immediately or refrigerated for up to an hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
